SINGING

12 JULY – 2 AUGUST

GENERAL INFORMATION

The course is dedicated to the study of bel canto, aiming to strengthen its technical and expressive foundations. While remaining within the classical repertoire, it may extend from recitar cantando to contemporary works.

The 2025 course will include, in addition to the classical program (arias, duets, and ensemble pieces, which may be performed at the final concert and other public events), the preparation and staging of Il Prigioniero by Luigi Dallapiccola and the tragédie lyrique La Voix Humaine by Francis Poulenc, under the stage direction of Davide Garattini and the musical direction of Mario Ruffini.

Two performances will be held, featuring two different casts, on July 24 and 25 at the Teatro dei Rozzi.

In addition to these productions, the course will focus on in-depth study of solo and ensemble pieces in preparation for the student concert and other potential performances.
