GENERAL INFORMATION
The course offers the study of sacred and secular works from the 17th and 18th centuries, with particular focus on the compositions of Monteverdi, Charpentier, Purcell, J.S. Bach, and Händel.
As part of the Chigiana International Festival 2025, some students will have the opportunity to perform in concert with the faculty of the Baroque Program.
ENTRANCE EXAMINATION
The entrance examination is by video audition only. A video recording must be sent along with the application form.
In order to demonstrate a sufficient level of practical execution, candidates must present a video of their playing one or more pieces, to be freely selected from the significant works of the Baroque repertoire.
