GENERAL INFORMATION
Choir conductors and choir conducting students from public or private academies can participate in the course.
“500 Years of Palestrina”
Italian music has sought—or been compelled—to engage with the Princeps Musicae, whom we celebrate with a program of sacred and secular a cappella works.
The program is completed with a tribute to Arvo Pärt, in celebration of his 90th birthday.
The Course will be organized as follows:
- morning: practical lessons, theory, and exercises with the choir;
- afternoon: practical lessons with the choir.
At the end of the afternoon lessons, all students (active and auditors) will attend rehearsals of the following works:
Luigi Dallapiccola, Canti di Prigionia
Opere di Filippo Perocco, Salvatore Sciarrino, Joaquin Des Prez
