For the entrance exam, candidates must present the following compositions:

a) J.S. Bach, two movements (slow and fast) from the Suites for Solo Cello (trascr. for viola);
b) two movements (slow and fast) from the Suites by Max Reger or else two movements (slow and fast) from the Sonatas for Viola Solo by Paul Hindemith;
c) one movement from the Sonatas for Viola and Piano, or from the Concertos for Viola and Orchestra, or else a significant piece from the repertoire for viola solo from the second half of the 20th Century.

During the course, the repertoire of which will include works from the Baroque period to the modern day (solo, sonata, and concerto repertoire), students may perfect pieces of their own choosing, indicating their choices beforehand on the Application Form.

Active students who are also taking part in the Viola and Chamber Music course are required to pay the application and exam fee only once.
